Poorly Designed Product
I am very disappointed in the quality of this product. In particular, the quality of the knobs is very poor. A pan was pulled off the stove over the knobs and because of the poor quality, the fake metal peeled back on two of the knobs and scratched two other knobs. The surface scratches easily. I've had two stainless steel products in the past and have never had this problem before. Very disa...

Great cooktop
The product looks great and functions great. The only issue I have is the plastic knobs. They don’t go well with a premium product like this

New black cooktop
Love the way this cooktop looks and works. It's easy to light and clean. Even though it's black it doesn't seem to show the smudges that much. The grates are also easy to maintain so far. Love that the burner knows light up when they're turned on. It's also nice having 2 high output burners in just the right places.

Great features and Product
Love the look and the overall evenness of the cooking and ease of use. The quality of the material is excellent. The burners turn on quickly and consistently. The controls work well. The configuration of the large to small burners is perfect.

Cheap plastic knobs
The cooktop in itself is fine and I appreciated the fact that it lights up when in use but the knobs are of lowest quality. The finish is like 'stainless steel' but its actually plastic. I have been using this for about 3 months now and 3 of my knobs have melted on sides exposing the white plastic within. I am extremely disappointed to see this kind of cheap quality material knobs from a reputed brand like GE. My model is PGP7036SL3SS , its still under warranty, can I get replacement knobs for this ??

Very sturdy gas stove top!
Every part of this gas stove top is well built and feels sturdy. The grills are heavy and thick, the knobs feel like they will last and great variable flame heights. Big upgrade from my last GE Profille top!!

Love the Grates
Have a done a few cooks since we've installed it and its been great. I like the lights underneath the knobs vs. within the knobs as you know for sure which ones are on. Grate pattern is great and easy to clean.

Not recommended
Scratches very easily. Even with a soft microfiber cloth, any small food particles scratches. The knobs melted and are made of cheap plastic. It stains very easily and hard to take out the stains.

Poor stainless steel quality.
The stainless steel for this stove top model scratches easily. I’ve only used a soft cloth to wipe down and clean the stove top but if there is food residue from cooking, it can scratch the stainless steel. It is very low quality material and do not recommend purchasing.

Great features and design.
Great design and layout of cooktop. I updated an older version of the Profile cooktop to the newer and could not be more impressed. The lighted knobs allow for quick determination if the burner is still on, the higher grate allow for faster heating both under and around the pot/pan and the move of the Rapid Boil burner to center to allow for larger pots more easily was a smart design move.
